You Got Flowers from a Bel Flèur Lakay Flower Bar — Now What?

Congratulations! Your bouquet was hand-selected by you and designed to bring beauty, joy, and fragrance into your home. Follow these simple steps to keep your flowers looking their best for as long as possible.

Step 1: Unwrap Your Bouquet

Carefully remove any ribbon, wrapping, or floral sleeve. Be gentle with delicate blooms and greenery.

Step 2: Choose a Clean Vase

Select a clean vase that is tall enough to support your flowers. Bacteria can shorten the life of your blooms, so always start with a freshly washed vase.

Step 3: Fill with Filtered Water

Fill your vase about halfway with cool, filtered water.

Filtered water helps reduce impurities and can help your flowers last longer.

Step 4: Create a Simple Flower Food Alternative

If you do not have flower food, add the following to your vase:

• 1 teaspoon white sugar
• 1 teaspoon white vinegar

The sugar helps nourish the flowers while the vinegar helps reduce bacteria growth in the water.

Step 5: Trim the Stems

Using clean floral shears or scissors, trim approximately ½–1 inch off each stem at an angle.

Cutting stems at an angle allows flowers to absorb water more efficiently.

Step 6: Remove Foliage Below the Water Line

Remove any leaves that will sit below the water level in your vase.

Leaves left in water can cause bacteria to grow and shorten the life of your arrangement.

Step 7: Arrange & Enjoy

Place your flowers in the vase and arrange them as desired.

Mix your focal flowers, accent flowers, greenery, and signature scent stem to create a beautiful display.

Step 8: Refresh Every 2–3 Days

To keep your flowers fresh:

• Replace with fresh filtered water
• Add fresh white sugar and white vinegar
• Re-trim stems by ¼–½ inch
• Remove any wilted blooms

For the longest vase life:

✓ Keep away from heating vents and air conditioners
✓ Avoid placing near ripening fruit (fruit releases gases that can shorten flower life)
